Meet the Team of Professionals

Kristin Jeffrey

Co-Creative Director, Shine by JSP

Kristin Jeffrey is an actress and creative storyteller whose passion for performance began in Portland, Oregon. A graduate of Mills College and Portland State University, she brings decades of experience in theater, community engagement, and leadership. After a 22-year career with Southwest Airlines, Kristin returned to the stage—earning a 2018 OTAS Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Sister Act. Now based in Roanoke, she continues to inspire audiences through her artistry, faith, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Amanda Marie Spivey

Co-Creative Director, Shine by JSP

Amanda Marie Spivey is an educator, actress, and creative visionary passionate about using the performing arts to inspire and uplift others. A graduate of James Madison University with a B.A. in Theater and Dance, she has performed and collaborated with theaters across the nation. As Co-Creative Director of Shine by JSP, Amanda cultivates spaces where faith, creativity, and purpose unite—empowering artists and illuminating the Roanoke Valley with hope and light.

Robert L. Jeffrey Jr.

Co- Executive Director

Robert L. Jeffrey Jr. is a self-motivated, goal-oriented executive with over 30 years of experience in Corporate Sales, 25 years in Marketing, and 15 years in Public Relations. A creative strategist and accomplished communicator, he develops innovative programs that deliver powerful results. A proud native of Roanoke, Virginia, Robert brings his passion for business, community, and collaboration to Shine by JSP, helping spread light throughout the Star City.

Dr. Kirby Spivey III

Co- Executive Director

Dr. Kirby Spivey III is an educator, pastor, and creative visionary dedicated to empowering communities through faith, art, and innovation. As a professor, entrepreneur, and spiritual leader, he equips artists and audiences alike to discover the light within and shine beyond the stage. His Ubuntu-inspired philosophy fuels Shine by JSP’s mission to merge creativity with purpose and impact lives through the power of storytelling.
